How can I subscribe to Storyteller?

There are several ways. You can fill out our order form, print and mail it, along with your cheque or money order, to :

Storyteller, Canada's Short Story Magazine
3687 Twin Falls Place
Ottawa, ON
K1V 1W6

Or you can use the order form we print in every issue of the magazine. If you don't want to damage the magazine by cutting the order form out, you can photocopy it, or just send us your name and postal address, along with your cheque or money order.

I'm a subscriber, but I haven't received the issue I see on your home page. How come?

The cover you see on our home page is always the latest issue. If you haven't received it, it might be that your subscription has run out. We don't nag our subscribers with lots of renewal forms, so you might have forgotten to renew. If you have any problems with renewing, or if you moved and forgot to tell us, or if a copy got lost in the mail, just send us a note and we'll take care of it.

I'd like to give someone a gift subscription to Storyteller. Will you tell them it's from me?

If you want to give a gift that lasts a whole year, it's as easy as filling out our order form (as explained above) and writing us a note, asking to make this a gift, and giving us the full postal information for the recipient. We'll send them a card telling them their subscription is a gift, and who it's from.

I don't live in Canada. Can I still subscribe?

Sure. Unfortunately, though, it'll cost you a little extra. Because banks are often fussy about cheques drawn on foreign banks, we'd prefer that you send a money order in Canadian funds. You can get money orders in your bank or Post Office. Just add $4.00 (Canadian) to the total price of $29.35 to cover the cost of postage to destinations outside Canada. Then, follow the normal subscription procedure, described above.

Where can I buy a copy of Storyteller?

Storyteller is now available exclusively through subscription, and is no longer available in magazine or book stores. You can ensure you always have the latest issue of Storyteller by subscribing.

Is it possible to purchase copies of old issues?

We have back copies of most of our issues. The easiest way to purchase one is to fill out our form, then print and send it to us with your cheque or money order.

Do you accept credit card purchases?

Yes! Storyteller now accepts online payments through PayPal. You can pay by cash using your PayPal account, or by most major credit cards with or without a PayPal account. It's fast, safe, and completely secure! For more information about PayPal, visit their web site at www.paypal.com.

I'd like to read more stories by one of your writers. Where can I find them?

It depends on the writer. Some writers are frequent contributors to Storyteller, which means that you can find them in back issues, or you can subscribe to Storyteller, and read their latest work as soon as we publish it.

You might want to check the About the Authors page, published in every issue. Here, writers sometimes list other works that they've published.

You can also look for recent work by some of our authors on the New & Notable page.

Or, you can visit the author's website - we have many of them listed on our Reader's Links page.
